After a long wait, Corridor Digital’s TETHER is finally here. This looks to be a very promising science fiction series. I can’t wait to see more of it.

I am a massive Adam Savage fan. He is one of the people who got me interested in science. So I’d suggest watching his Maker Faire 2012 Talk: Why We Make

In one scene, Genie calls Al’s clothes “so 3rd century”. Genie was trapped for 10,000 years, so there is no way he could know of the fashion trends which have happened whilst he was in the lamp.
Which means at the latest Genie could have been trapped in the lamp during the 3rd century. If he…

I’ve been a fan of Ze Frank’s for since I saw his first TED talk however many years ago that was. Anyway, you might have seen that he recently had a Kickstarter project to bring back The Show. Obviously, I jumped on board immediately. And now it’s happening. Ze’s stuff is funny, and sweet, and cool, and happy, and emotional. And you should really check it out.
Title sequence for Food, Inc. Designed and shot by Gonzalo Amat.
This opening sequence sets the stage perfectly. Underscored by a soft and unsettling piece of music, it draws the audience in and makes them question something that they typically don’t give a second thought to; where did my food come from?
I’ve been wanting to play Settlers of Catan even since I read this awesome AskReddit thread about the best boardgames. It looks like loads of fun.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I love title design. It’s a very important part any movie. This short from PBS gives us a glimpse at the making of the title sequences for Se7en, Blue Valentine, Zombieland, MadMen, and more.
I love Cassini and Voyager. These probes have given us so much data and, as we can see here, so much beauty. Here are two things to look for. At 45 seconds we see Enceladus. Those plumes are massive geysers shooting water ice into space. At 48 seconds is the gravitational effect of a moon on Saturn’s rings. Gorgeous!
